Emotional Intelligence, or EQ, is an indicator of one’s ability to effectively use thoughts and feelings (emotions)--to choose the best possible decisions.

Emotions are valuable assets. They give us cues to let us know something is happening inside of us. When we learn more about the emotions we experience, as well as the actions that we take (or don’t take) because of them, we can begin to increase our EQ to become more self-aware and others-aware.

EQ is a skill made up of different capabilities that we can learn and practice. As we develop this skill, we begin to match our actions with our intentions and purpose, and to authentically empathize with others--allowing us to build and improve relationships.
